James Frank Wins the Amateur Division of the Mr.
Bass of Arkansas Classic on Lake Dardanelle
James Frank is congratulated by Ronnie Everett!!!
James Frank - 6 bass - 14.11 pounds - Ranger/Mecury package
James fished with Chad Fulmer on Day 1. Although he had a
tough day, he was able to catch 1 bass on a jighead worm (Zoom
Trick Worm; Redbug). On day 2, he fished with Kyle Henderson.
The duo fished in the Shoal Bay area and concentrated on fish
positioned along a shallow creek channel. James was able to land
4 keepers early on a Bandit 100 crankbait (splatterback). Later in
the day, a school of fish came up and he landed multiple keepers
on a Excalibur XR 50 lipless crankbait. At this point, James had a
small limit, but probably did not have enough to win the event. He
topped off his bag near the State Park with a 4-pounder on the XR
50 in the last 5 minutes of the tournament and the rest is history.
For his victory, James took home a fully rigged Ranger Boat with
a 150 HP Mercury Motor.
Here's the rest of the top 5:
