Clint Ashley Wins the Mr. Bass of Arkansas Tournament
on the Arkansas River
Clint Ashley Wins on the Arkansas River!!!
Clint Ashley topped 56 boaters fishing the 5th MBOA tournament of
2009 by catching 5 bass that weighed 18.99 pounds. Fishing was
tough on the Dumas Pool, but as usual the MBOA anglers figured
them out!!! Here's how the top 3 finishers caught their fish:
1st - Clint Ashley - 5 bass - 18.99 pounds
Clint fished the main river and one backwater area. He threw a Chug
Bug, a smoke tube, and a baby brush hog to catch his bass. Clint also
received a $500 Ranger Cup Bonus for his victory.
2nd - Chris Huselton - 5 bass - 15.46 pounds
Chris fished the lower end of the
Dumas Pool. He caught his fish
on a frog and by punching mats
with a soft plastic.

3rd - Terry Hopson - 5 bass - 15.02 pounds
Terry fished shallow wood in a
backwater area. He threw a Lucky
Craft RC 1.5 to catch his bass.
