Brandon Rhoden Wins the Mr. Bass of Arkansas
Tournament on Lake Ouachita
Brandon Rhoden Wins on Lake Ouachita!!!
Brandon Rhoden topped 61 pro's fishing the first Mr. Bass of
Arkansas Tournament of 2011 by catching 5 bass that weighed 18.84
pounds. With the recent outbreak of winter weather and the cold
water runoff from the snow melting, the bite was tough on Ouachita
and only thirteen 5-bass limits crossed the scales. Here's how the
top 3 pro's caught their bass:
1st - Brandon Rhoden - 5 bass - 18.84 pounds - $2,188.00
Brandon commented that his day got off to a slow start, but turned
around in the afternoon. He caught his fish on Bill Lewis Rat-L-Traps
(Red) fished around ditches.
2nd Place - Kevin Late - 5 bass - 18.10 pounds - $1,326.00
Kevin threw an Excalibur XR-50
(Red) to catch his bass. He
commented that he caught 6
keepers on the day. Kevin's sack
also included the day's big bass, a
5.70 pound "Toad" that earned him
and additional $350.00.
