Cody Kemp Wins Mr. Bass of Arkansas Tournament
on DeGray Lake

Cody Kemp (right) wins on DeGray Lake!!!

Cody Kemp topped 85 pros' fishing the second Mr. Bass of
Arkansas Tournament of 2008 by catching 5 bass that tipped the
scales at 18.55 pounds. Rising cold water and bright blue skies
hampered the bite a bit on DeGray, but several anglers were able
to bring quality sacks of fish to the scales. Here's how the top 3
anglers caught their fish:

1st - Cody Kemp -  5 bass - 18.55 pounds - $2,750.00

Cody knew coming into the
tournament that he had a
good shot at catching a big
stringer. He fished the
lower end of Degray, where
he threw a Jewel Football Jig (
(5/8 oz., Black Blue Flash) to
catch his bass. Fishing
near the outside edge of the
grass in 25 - 35 feet of water
was the key to his success.

Norman Lures DD-22 to catch
his fish. Steve also earned
the Landers Bonus incentive.

3rd - Ryan Williams - 5 bass - 15.70 pounds - $1,100.00

Ryan caught two keepers
early on a DD-22 before
switching to a jig
(watermelon). All of his fish
were caught out of deep
water ranging from 15 - 22
feet.
