Nathan Stratton Wins the Mr. Bass of Arkansas Tournament on Lake Dardanelle!

The fourth MR. BASS of Arkansas tournament was held on Sunday, on a wet and muggy Lake Dardanelle out of beautiful Lake Dardanelle State Park. With morning clouds and drizzle everyone anticipated huge weights to be brought in. At the end of the day Dardanelle did not disappoint, as 3 sacks over 19lbs came across the scales! Here’s how the top finished up.

Nathan commented his practice time consisted of driving across the HWY 64 Bridge just before the tournament meeting. “I took one look at the lake and new exactly what I would be doing” commented Nathan as Ronnie questioned him about his day. All of Nathans fish came on a crankbait fished deep, but he was reluctant to give much more insight.  For his awesome day Nathan earned $2,056 for first place plus a $500 check for Ranger Cup qualification, and an additional $500 for his Everette  Buick GMC truck!

Second Place was “Q” Quincy Houchin he had another impressive Dardanelle Limit weighing 19.33lbs he commented he had to be using the a Jewel “Swim-it” Jig in “black and Blue” flavor to put big fish in his boat.  He caught a lot of other fish on other lures but the bulk came from the swim jig. For his efforts he earned $1,028.
